BILLY GIDDENS
MINISTER
Billy has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 34 years and they have two daughters. Billy worked for the Texarkana, Texas Police Department for 18 1/2 years, and worked as a police officer for Texas A&M University-Texarkana for 3 years. He currently works for the Bowie County Sheriff's Office. Billy joined the Beverly Heights family in November 2017.
What We Believe
There is one God, existing in three equal persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4).
Jesus is the Son of God, and he is both fully human and fully divine (Hebrews 2:9; Colossians 1:19).
The Bible is God's word and tells the gospel of Jesus (2 Timothy 3:16).
Humanity is sinful and, therefore, alienated from God (Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:2).
God loves us so much that he sent Jesus to sacrifice himself in our place (John 3:16).
Christ's sacrifice is applied to us at baptism, which is necessary for salvation (Romans 6:3-6; Acts 2:38).
We are called to a new life in obedience to God and his word (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We take the Lord's Supper on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7),
In worship, we sing a capella, meaning without instruments (Ephesians 5:19).
